Where do you travel for sessions?
• I’m based in Abbotsford, BC, but I’m happy to travel throughout the Lower Mainland, including Vancouver, Delta, Surrey, Langley, Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, Mission, and Chilliwack. For locations beyond 45 km from Abbotsford city centre, there is a travel fee of $1.00 per additional kilometre. If you're outside these areas, and located elsewhere on the map - feel free to reach out, and we can discuss travel options!
How do clients receive their images?
• Clients will receive their photos via a private online gallery. Each session includes two types of image files:
- Social Media Images: These are pre-sized and optimized for social media sharing.
- Client Copy: This is the full-resolution version, perfect for printing and preserving your images in the highest quality.
Additionally, prints are available through my online store, with some packages offering special discounts on print purchases.
How does payment and booking work?
- Once we've discussed the details of your session—including the location, your unique vision, and the package you'd like to book— a 50% non-refundable retainer fee is required to secure your date in my calendar. This retainer ensures your spot is reserved. Additionally, my session agreement must be signed in full to confirm your booking.
What if I need to reschedule?
• Clients can initiate one reschedule at no additional cost. If a client needs to reschedule more than once, a new non-refundable retainer fee will be required to confirm the second reschedule.
- As the photographer, I retain the right to reschedule a session due to weather conditions. I always monitor the weather closely leading up to our session to ensure we capture those beautiful golden hour moments seen throughout my portfolio.
What if the forecast calls for rain?
• I keep a close eye on the forecast leading up to all sessions, and if it does not look like the skies will be in our favour, then we will reschedule for my next available date.
Where will my session take place?
• For most equine sessions, we'll shoot at the location where your horse is kept. If you're concerned that your property might not be picturesque, don’t worry! I can usually find a beautiful spot on location. However, if you'd prefer, I also have a few preferred locations that you're welcome to haul out to for the session.
For family lifestyle, couples, and maternity sessions, I’m open to your suggestions! I also have a list of my preferred locations throughout the Fraser Valley that may inspire you for the perfect setting.
What should I wear for equine sessions?
• For equine sessions, some of my favorite outfit choices include jeans and a nice blouse, your competition attire, or a cute sundress. If you're feeling adventurous, you can go all out with a fancy dress—these are some of my all-time favorite sessions! Just keep in mind that solid-colored clothing works best, as heavily patterned items or clothing with too many stripes can distract from you and your horse.
• For family lifestyle, couples, and maternity sessions, I recommend solid-colored clothing with minimal patterns. Choose something comfortable that allows you to move around easily, but also something you feel your best in.
What if my horse or kids won’t chill out or stand still?
• For horses, I always recommend giving your horse a light lunge before the session, but before you bathe and groom them. This helps them settle and ensures the session goes as smoothly as possible for both of you. That said, it’s totally normal for horses to get a bit fidgety when asked to stand still for extended periods. If needed, we’ll take breaks so they can walk around or snack on some grass!
• For kids, I recommend talking to them about the session in the days leading up to it so they know what to expect. A snack before the session is always a good idea (I know I’m not at my best when I’m hungry!). Some parts of the session will be posed, but I also like to use prompts that keep things fun and relaxed, so it’s less stressful for the little ones.
